Hypnotic Fun and Games
Here are some hypnotic games that anyone can use. Follow the instructions and begin having fun with friends and family instantly.
How to Perform the Eyes Glued Together Test
Perhaps a somewhat shocking title, this test is one of the easiest and is fun to perform. It takes little effort and can be done on any occasion. The point of the test is to find out who listens to you 'literally' because if they do, then the test will work. You would simply ask them to close their eyes, and with their eyes closed, to stare directly up to the top of their head with their eyes, continue to do this, and feel them become tighter and tighter stuck at the top of their head. You can throw in some wording for effect here, but the point is quite simple. You then say to them, "and as keep your eyes pointing upwards to the top of your head, try to open your eyes, and the harder you try, the tighter your eyelids will remain stuck tightly closed". If they've listened to your wording quite literally, then their eyes will remain closed, if not, then they will open.
It is physically impossible to open your eyes when your eyeballs are pointing to the top of your head, try it for yourself if you wish. This is not a test generally performed on stage but is fun to play with when with friends.
The Light and Heavy Hands Test
Another fun test to perform with friends is the light and heavy hands test. To carry this out you would ask the volunteer to place both hands out directly in front of them. Ask them to point their left palm upwards, and keep their right palm facing down. Next, instruct them to close their eyes and to imagine that on their left hand is a big thick pile of leather bound library books, and as you add more to the pile, to imagine that it is becoming heavier and heavier. Instruct them to imagine that attached to their right hand, is a piece of string tied to a giant helium balloon, which is pulling, ever so lightly, their hand upwards, higher and higher.
Use your voice well when you do this experiment. When instructing the volunteer that they have library books, use words like BIG and THICK and HEAVY, and use a deep commanding and tired voice. When you are referring to the right hand with the balloon attached, have a 'spring' in your voice, keep it light and energetic and with a good pace to it.
This is a neat parlour trick which will always work if the volunteer is in their imagination at the time, it takes only a few moments and is good fun when you ask the person to open their eyes and look at their hands. As simple as we know this to be, the people watching and the volunteers will all be amazed at your unique abilities. You could try this on as many people at the one time as you wish and the results will be the same. There will be the odd person who this will not have any effect on, and this is because they are expecting you to perform some sort of magical effect on them. Remember, hypnosis is about cooperation.
